Graduates of this doctoral degree program will be specialists for the fire protection of forest stands, wood materials and wood buildings. The program focuses on the possibilities of application of fire protection (prevention, detection, fighting or modeling of forest fires) in forest complexes. Students get also aquainted with the theory of wood burning, wood and wood-based materials, wood physics and mechanics under the influence of fire damage or fire protection of materials and structures. The most up-to-date laboratories are used in the research. This branch of study has a wide application in the fields of forestry, construction, fire protection and other industries.
