Teaching: In Czech and English
Standard Period of Study: 3 years
Study Form: Full-time study, part-time study
Graduates of this postgraduate (PhD) branch of study are specialised in the forest development processes, especially the growth processes, with a focus on deepening of their knowledge of evaluation methods in economic and environmental terms. The emphasis is put on broad issues of detection and collection of mensurational variables, models of growth, development and prediction of the dynamics of forest stands, the impact of site and climatic conditions on the growth and development of trees and entire forest ecosystems, the wide use of the theory of stochastic processes, the representation of the development of forest structure and production, mathematical methods of its optimum control and analysis of the expression of the impact of harmful factors on forest production and management. This branch of study has numerous opportunities for involvement in international cooperation with research results quickly implementable in practice.
