Almost two years of work has its final result. The bilingual professional publication Lovecké střelectví / The Art of Hunt Shooting has been published. A similar book has never been published in our country; it has something for both beginners as well as experts in the field.
The new professional Czech-English monograph was published in a limited edition as a cooperation between the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague (CZU) and the publishing house DRUCKVO, spol. s.r.o. In the monograph, the authors proceed from a general description of hunting firearms and ammunition, the principles of their use and the ballistic laws of shooting, to a description of their effects on a live target (game), based on both theoretical foundations and practical experience. At the end of the book, readers will find a unique dictionary of technical terms. The book is available at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences Copy Centre, or at Druckvo publishing house.
"I am very pleased that we did not rush to publish the book. For the last few months, we've just been fine-tuning, proofreading, and trying to catch all the little mistakes that accompany every book. What I appreciate most though is the fact that we managed to create a well-functioning team, composed of prominent experts from practice, professional companies that produce equipment used for hunting, and nationwide retailers who address the functionality of products in terms of practical use and user requirements. Despite the fact that I have been working with many colleagues for many years teaching our students, this was a completely new experience for all of us.
