The aim of the project is to demonstrate the use of "novel and modern data" to create space for "novel and modern decision-making" in forest management and forest health. The positive impact of forest management is strongly correlated with data quality. In the project we will use technologies and techniques that are only available for a few years or are in the development of individual partners. As part of the project, we will also create a "benchmarking" to compare all available approaches to determining tree species in order to evaluate the current state and at the same time determine which approach shows the best results. For the above objectives, the partners will establish research plots, or use plots already established. In addition to the conventional methods used in forestry, the partners will use the already mentioned technologies and techniques. The result will be methodologies and maps for determining the current state of the forest in individual countries.
