The aim of the project is to develop a quality infrastructure of the new research program Fire Protection of Forest, Timber and Wood-Based Materials at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences in connection with the Czech University of Life Sciences strategy. The project is time-based and factually linked to the project Creation of new research programs [MMT1] at the FFWS and is focused on the provision of instrumentation equipment to ensure quality research in relation to the labor market demands.
Acquired instruments and equipment will have a significant impact on teaching in accordance with modern technologies and procedures, especially in these research areas: Fire protection of buildings, building structures and systems, fire safety of buildings, testing in POB, tactics in fire and intervention, fire extinguishing, transport of extinguishing substances, forest fires and their extinguishing, modeling of forest fires, study of forest fires dynamics.
The use of the infrastructure will enable students to acquire skills and knowledge in the field of fire detection and fire protection methods of forest and timber structures, to apply them to knowledge of independent scientific and creative activities in the field of safety and security systems. The new infrastructure will allow for a faster transfer of scientific knowledge into practice, thereby strengthening the methods of protecting the health and property of individuals. Graduates can use their increased their qualifications in the state administration at different levels, in nature protection organizations, international organizations, in the private sphere, in the field of S & R not only in the Czech Republic.
