Project objectives: The main objective of the project was to create an efficient device for mechanized regeneration of forest stands with automatic hydrogel dosing. This device contributes to increasing the efficiency of vegetation restoration or afforestation in areas with a lack of precipitation.
Subject of the project proposal: The project dealt with one of the basic pillars in forest regeneration, namely the protection of new crops from drought. This issue is currently very topical and, with regard to long-term meteorological and climatic forecasts, it will continue to gain in importance. The practical innovation of the project consists of the creation of a forest regeneration machine using a hydrogel, for which an international patent application has been filed.
