The developed adhesive system is suitable for gluing primarily oak wood; a penetrating agent with dispersed nanoparticles is applied to the oak wood surface before gluing, which modifies the wood surface before gluing. Subsequently, an adhesive based on polyurethane is applied. When the temperature of the glued joint increases (e.g. due to a fire), the nanoparticles in the glued joint will be activated and the polymer will be additionally cross-linked. This system enables the gluing of heterogeneous structure of oak wood surface while achieving significantly higher strength of the glued joint. The invention is particularly suitable for gluing oak heartwood and sapwood for load-bearing structural applications, for glued lamella wood, and structural exterior elements.
