Professor Martin Lukáč from FLD CZU, coordinator of the ReForest project funded by the European Union, will participate in a panel discussion at the prestigious COP29 2024 summit.
This climate summit represents a key opportunity for experts, scientists and politicians to find new ways to tackle the urgent challenges of the climate crisis.
As the coordinator of the ReForest project, the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague is actively involved in the search for sustainable solutions in the field of agroforestry. Professor Lukáč will speak on 19 November at a side event organised by the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA), one of the 11 partners of the project. He will present innovative approaches to agroforestry financing that can significantly contribute to changing land use patterns towards long-term sustainability. It will focus on diversifying financing for agroforestry systems that support both sustainability and economic stability of regions.
